2013 ChiliPepperRacing Program Overview
Mission Statement: ChiliPepper Racing provides unique opportunities for notable professional racers to showcase their skills in a high-visibility series while raising awareness for charity.
Approach: The team will contest select events of the Vance and Hines Harley Davidson XR1200 series in conjuction with the Geico AMA Pro RoadRacing series and the US rounds of MOTO GP while raising awareness and donations for ACCO.org (CandleLighters Charity). The team is based in Austin, TX with race preparation and maintenance provided by Horsepower Farm.
Each event (round) will feature a notable guest AMA Pro racer and event sponsor for the weekend. This approach is more work for the team, but allows our riders , sponsors and guests to participate and "get in the mix" at a commitment level in keeping with the current tight economy.
In the spirit of the team, the guest racer “rides for” ACCO.org (as the team and its sponsors provide the motorcycle and pay for all direct racing expenses) while any purse or winnings the rider may earn are his/her own. As a twist, and in keeping with the above mission, the team's focus will be on the unique promotional aspects of each event rather than chasing a series-long championship.
The event sponsor participates in our hospitality program, including a display of our bike and hauler at a location of his/her choosing prior to or after the event and an opportunity to join us in the pits on raceday, while promoting their business, club or organization to the motorsport community up-close, and enjoying the event as a credentialed guest. Both rider and event sponsor can benefit from the association with our race team and ACCO.org
to help build recognition, goodwill and relevant social media content (website/facebook/twitter/etc)
aimed at the desireable demographic within AMA Pro Racing and MOTO GP. What better way to get involved enjoying an exciting weekend, taking in the racing spectacle and helping charity.
